OUR STORY

Family and Farming...

We're very lucky to have been able to call Minstead Manor Farm our home for many years, as have several generations of family before us. Christopher Green started the farming business with his wife Deran in the 1960's and the farm is now run as a family with their children, Harry and Sarah. And now planning has begun for the next generation....

About Minstead Manor Farm

Sitting in the heart of the New Forest National Park, the farm comprises both woodland and traditional parkland. This allows us to run a modest sheep flock to produce grass fed lamb, and make traditional small hay bales from the extensively farmed grassland, as well as providing naturally fallen timber that we can process into seasoned logs.

In 1997 we began to diversify and opened a small campsite under the umbrella of the Camping & Caravanning Club. Since then, other small enterprises have started across the farm including glamping, self storage, free range eggs, firewood, event seating, social tree climbing as well as our carpenter's barn being let to a corporate team building and outdoor activity company.

Farming for Future, for wildlife and for environment

We strongly believe that we have a duty to protect and care for the land that was walked by generations before us.

We intend, with help and advice from those around us, to pass the farm onto future generations in a good, if not better, condition for farming, wildlife and the environment.

By farming in a sustainable manner we can reduce and limit our use of chemical and artificial inputs, making our business more efficient and robust against future environmental and economic challenges.
